Every one of us has a dream. Some of us dream about becoming a doctor, an engineer, a banker. Some of us dream about owning a luxury car, building a house, starting a family by getting married. Personally, my dream is becoming a good writer.

No matter what dream we have it is important to us though other people may see it as a stupid ambition. Therefore, while we are following our dreams we should be polite enough not to make fun of other people’s dreams.

Some people do not recognize the value of my dream. Luckily for me, my family understands. I have seen people sneering when I say what my ambition in life is. Those people think writing is easy. May be writing is easy for people who produce stories without any value, any new imagination. However, to present something good and valuable to the world is not easy. Just like a doctor does his duty to the world by curing illness, a writer tries to fulfill his or her duty by entertaining people, giving for thought.

No one will ever understand the importance of your dream as well as you do. You will have to face a lot of obstacles. Sometimes, you may not even achieve your dream for a long time. However, in the end, it will be worth all the troubles you had to go through.

  1. I know what it is like to be sneered at for your dreams, for people not to believe the same things you do. I keep telling myself that whatever I pursue is for my happiness; people will mock you, but they will move on. Moping around will only stall me from chasing my dreams. I also hope to be a successful writer one day and I wish the same for you! 🙂

  2. Love this post. Your message is simple, yet powerful. I have been pursuing my dream of being a veterinarian for over a decade now and I’ve encountered many people who don’t believe in me. It’s true that hater’s gonna hate, but it’s also true that dreams come true with enough hard work & determination. I hope both our dreams come true!
